There is lots happening in Dublin this weekend, here are a few of the big events which take place on the June bank holiday.

Bloom

Bord Bia Bloom returns for its 20th year taking place this weekend the June bank holiday, across 70 acres in the Phoenix Park. This special gardening event is happening over five days, there will be exhibits from garden designers, flower growers, landscapers, plant lovers, garden-furniture makers, food fanatics and perfect for anyone who loves to garden or just enjoy time in their garden.

Forbidden Fruit

In the heart of Dublin city, Forbidden Fruit is the capital’s longest-running city-centre festival. Taking place on May 30th – 31st in its 14th year, it takes place on the grounds of the Irish Museum of Modern Art at the Royal Hospital, Kilmainham. The Vhi Mini Marathon

This 10k road race, takes place every June bank holiday weekend in Dublin city centre. It is the largest women only event of its kind in the world.
In 1983, 9,000 women took part in the first Women’s Mini Marathon, and the event reached a record attendance in 2014 with 41,006 women taking part. Today over 1.1 million women have entered the event over its 42 years.
