Carolyn Walsh – Irish Artist and Designer
Carolyn Walsh is an Irish Artist originally from County Kerry, living and working in Dublin as both an Artist and Graphic Designer. Carolyn began her career in art after studying Textile Design in GMIT followed by an MA in Professional Design Practice in DIT.
Carolyn was commissioned to do this fabulous piece of Hamilton House.
Her work is focused on places of meaning and nostalgia. Ranging from much-loved local pubs, beautiful, personalised wedding venues, to Irish landmarks that hold a particular sentimental value to us.
The original artwork is created using a mixture of photography, transfers, paint and collage on paper. The original is then scanned in and released as a series of limited-edition prints.
Recently Carolyn has started working on Abstract Art and released her first series last year. This series was a great escape and a bit of fun that she hopes to develop further in her artistic career.
