St Stephens green
Opened in 1880, the 9-hectare green space has been maintained in its original Victorian layout, with extensive tree and shrub planting and spectacular spring and summer bedding. St Stephens Green Park boasts over 3.5 kilometres of accessible pathways, the perfect place to stretch your legs at lunch time. Check out all information about the park here.
Merrion Square Park
Situated at the heart of one of the most intact and beautiful Georgian squares. It is the second-largest square in the city after St Stephen’s Green. The park was private, only residents had access, until 1974 when it was opened to the public. The park has lovely pathways, a playground and a sculpture trail.
Iveagh Gardens
Opened to the public in 1992, the Iveagh Gardens has many original Victorian and unique features which include rustic grottos, sunken formal panels of lawn with fountain centrepieces, woodlands, a maze, a rosarium, the American garden, rockeries and archery grounds. Wilton Park
Opposite the canal, this little park is a lovely leafy space to come and enjoy a coffee, lunch or a little stroll. The park itself has lots of seating, including deck chairs to relax in and there is even a little dog park where you can let your dog run free, plus they have yoga in the park a few times a week.
